Feb. 22: An officer stopped a car for running the red light at Ga. 21 and S. Laurel Street. The driver, a Guyton man, was cited for the red light violation and possession and use of a drug-related object.

Feb. 23: A boy said his babysitter locked him out of a car and threatened to leave him and pulled him across a rug, causing burns. The son admitted he made the incidents sound worse to his father.
The father was given a criminal trespass warning at the house where his son lives.
Feb. 26: An officer stopped a vehicle on E. Second Street for no working tag lights. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Feb. 27: An officer stood by while a man gathered his belongings from a residence on S. Maple Street. The man’s wife accused him of assaulting her on an earlier date, when he accused her of cheating. The man was given a criminal trespass warning.
Feb. 28: The automatic tag scanner alerted to an SUV on S. Laurel Street with an expired tag. The driver was arrested for driving without a license and given a warning for expired tag.
Unruly son
A man who was accused of punching his mother in an argument about a cell phone charger was arrested for battery. He reportedly cursed and spit at her and held the charger above his head so she couldn’t see it. She said he also pushed her and dropped the charger in the dog’s water bowl.
