No parking
July 31: A resident of Fox Street said a green bicycle had been in her yard all day. She said none of the neighbors claimed it. An officer took possession of it at her request.
July 31: A brother and sister argued. She said it was over her using the house phone in her bedroom. He said it was because she disrespected their mother.
Nice try
July 31: An officer took a report from a man who said he wanted police to check the welfare of a woman he believed was being held against her will. The officer noted that the man had an ID card because his license was suspended.
The officer watched the man drive away and then stopped him on W. First Street. He asked why the man was driving with a suspended license. The man said he was “not under state law and by federal rule he had every right to drive his motor vehicle on these roadways.” He was arrested and his vehicle was towed.
Aug. 2: A large tree fell on a vehicle traveling on Ramsey Street at S. Laurel Street. The vehicle was damaged but could still be driven. The driver, a woman from Rincon, said she was on her way to church.
