July 20: A 57-year-old Rincon woman was arrested and accused of stealing $127 worth of jewelry items from Walmart.
July 20: A city K-9 helped the Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop off Lowground Road. The dog alerted to narcotics.
July 21: A man found a street sign when he was mowing a ditch on Plantation Way.
July 21: A juvenile was given a criminal trespass warning to stay out of Reese subdivision on a four-wheeler.
July 22: A vehicle left on Lisa Street was towed.
Cashier arrested
July 23: A cashier at Walmart admitted stealing money from the store, taking a total of $1,300. He was arrested.
July 23: A man was upset because a woman served him with eviction papers.
Hide-a-key found
July 23: $1,700 worth of items, including power tools and shotgun shells, were stolen from a house on Rosalee Court. The homeowner believes someone found the spare key hidden in a fake sprinkler head.
July 25: A woman said she was robbed of $82 in the Walmart parking lot. She later declined to press charges, saying she didn’t want to deal with the “drama” of court and charges.
July 25: An officer stopped a vehicle for going 49 mph in the 35 mph zone on Ga. 21. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and the vehicle was towed.
