



From incident reports at the Guyton Police Department:
May 1: A Guyton woman who previously had been warned to stay away from the Dollar General store showed up at the store. She left in a hurry when a store employee spotted her. The manager was told to take a store video and the police report to Magistrate Court.
May 3: An officer stopped a car for having a stereo that was too loud, on Magnolia Street. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license, suspended registration, obscuring the license plate cover and excessive volume from a radio.
May 7: An officer was dispatched to Springfield Avenue about a man who was asking for money and panhandling. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
May 10: A shed behind a house on Hines Avenue suffered severe fire damage. The fire may have been started by a nearby brush fire. Workers had been clearing trees and burning timber.
May 11: A woman said a man was harassing her by phone. She said he had abused her before and wasn’t supposed to contact her. An officer told her how to check to see if the protective order was still valid. He also took her to her sister’s house to stay for the night. Griffin Road.
