The history of Effingham's faith was celebrated on Sunday at the Historic Effingham Christmas at Ebenezer event.
The celebration of a Salzburger Christmas is held annually at the New Ebenezer Retreat and Conference Center.
The day included tours of the old Salzburger home, decorated for an 18th century Christmas, and a gathering at the center for the community Christmas tree lighting and a meal. A cantata service for Advent was held at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
