The annual Family Promise Bed Race was held on Saturday at Effingham County High School. The race is a fundraiser for the group that helps the homeless in Effingham County.
The event raised almost $9,800. There were 15 teams that participated.
The Gateway Community Church team raised the most funds at $3,264.
Winner in the Faster Pastor category was First Baptist Church of Rincon.
The Effingham Health System team also placed first in their division.
