Effingham County commissioners recognized the Jaguars youth football team by proclaiming a day in their honor on Jan. 19. The 10-and-under players completed an undefeated season by beating the Calhoun Yellow Jackets 46-26 in the finals to win the Georgia Recreation & Parks Association District I State Championship.
