Oct. 11: An officer running the automatic tag scanner on Ga. 21 stopped an SUV that came back as having suspended registration and no insurance. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and no insurance and given a warning about the suspended registration.
Oct. 11: An officer stopped an SUV for having no working tag light on Ga. 21. The driver was arrested for driving without a license and given a warning for no tag light.
Oct. 14: An officer stopped an SUV for going 62 mph in a 45 mph zone on Ga. 21. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and given a warning for speeding.
Oct. 14: An officer using an automatic tag scanner stopped a car on Ga. 21 that came up as having suspended registration and no insurance. The vehicle was towed for no insurance and the driver was given a warning for suspended registration.
Family dispute
Oct. 15: A man said his drunken stepfather attacked him because he didn’t come over to help him cut down trees in the back yard. The stepfather said they argued because his stepson owes him $600.
Oct. 16: A woman on Ga. 119 said someone scratched her vehicle.
Tough love
Oct. 20: A father called because his son left home despite being grounded. An officer tracked down the boy and arrested him for a few hours, at his father’s request, before returning him to his father.
