Registration for fall soccer, football and cheerleading has been underway at the Effingham County Recreation and Parks Department.
Officials say there may be a few slots still open. Call the Recreation and Parks Department at 912-754-6339 to check availability.
The registration cost for football and soccer is $65.
To play football children will need to have their own helmet plus an $85 equipment deposit for shoulder pads and pants (with integrated pads). $75 will be refunded when pads are returned.
Players get to keep the pants.
The registration cost for cheerleading is $90 if your child needs a uniform, or $40 if your child cheered last year and can still use that uniform.
There will be a football camp held at the Recreation Complex on Ga. 119 in Springfield on Aug. 1. The football camp will be conducted by the Effingham County High School Football coaching staff. For more information, contact Tim Hood or Buddy Holder at 912-754-6404.
