An Effingham County family will be one of the featured ‘picks’ on the July 29 episode of American Pickers.
The television show is on the History Channel.
The show features Clyo's Dwayne Duff and Dale Duff and their mother, Mary Jane Duff, as they invite the show's hosts, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, to pick through the rusty treasures collected by the Dwayne Duff's late father, Delbert Duff.
Hitting the back roads from coast to coast, Mike Wolfe and Fran Fritz earn a living by scouring the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages, and barns.
The show, filmed in March, was a good experience for the Duffs.
"We really liked the laid back approach of Mike and Frank," Dwayne Duff said. "It was like we were hanging out with our friends. We were all just ‘good ole boys’ trading stories. Daddy loved his stuff and really did not want to get rid of anything because he felt that he may need it someday.”
The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce in its role as Effingham County’s state camera-ready liaison, provided assistance to the production company.
