Effingham County High School’s Jordan Fogle signed a letter of intent to play softball at East Georgia State College on Jan.30.

Fogle earned a number of honors during her time on the Rebel team, including first team of the All-Greater Savannah Softball team for 2014,

She hit .407 with 44 hits, 34 runs, 15 doubles, a triple, 23 RBIs and had just one strikeout on the season, earning her the honor.

Fogle was honored by her coaches in 2014 with the offensive award. Fogle was also named to the Region 3-AAAAA All Region Team.

She was also part of the 2012 and 2013 Region 3-AAAAA championship teams.

Coach Matt Huntley thanked Fogle and her family for all the hard work.

“We are excited for Jordan,” Huntley said. “We know she’ll do big things.”

Fogle said her favorite thing about softball is being on the field with people you love.

It’s also what she is ready to back to.

“I haven’t played since the end of the season, so I’m ready,” she said.

Fogle said she will study business education at East Georgia.
