Norfolk Southern Corp. donated $1,000 to the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department. Fire Chief Travis Zittrouer accepted the check from Thomas M. Dunlap, Dillard Yard terminal superintendent.
The money comes from a local discretion grant program that enhances relationships and promotes goodwill in the communities where Norfolk Southern employees live and work.
