All lanes of Ga. 17 at Old Tusculum Road are now open following an accident with serious injuries.
Effingham County Sheriff's Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said the accident was a head-on collision.
Ehsanipoor said a truck heading south on Ga. 17 struck an SUV headed north.
