The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Goshen Road Baptist Church.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said the church was burglarized sometime between 8:30 p.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Ehsanipoor said several windows in the church were broken.
The suspect, or suspects, used a Louisville Slugger aluminum bat to break some windows and a church statue was used to break another, deputies reported.
A laptop computer and several other items were stolen in the burglary.
The church is located at 1323 Goshen Road in Rincon.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information call their office at 754-3449.
