The South Effingham Lady Mustangs are headed to the Elite 8 of the Class AAAA playoffs after beating Rutland 52-49 on Monday.
At the half, the Lady Mustangs trailed Rutland by nine points, 28-19.
They trailed 34-36 in the third quarter before pulling ahead for the win.
Tianna Germain had 24 points in the game, Machala Raymonville scored 14 and Shae Leverett had a double-double night with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Mustangs will face either Dutchtown or Monroe in an away game for the next round.
