Jeffrey D. Rollins
Springfield – Jeffrey D. Rollins, 55, pastor of First Baptist Church of Springfield passed away Saturday Feb. 15, 2014.
Family includes his wife, Dorothy Sheppard Rollins; children, Melissa Rollins Jones (Robbie), Rachel Rollins Horton (Justin), Michael Christopher Rollins (Brandi), and Rebecca Hope Rollins; grandchildren, Rylan, Jaylee, Melanie, Jincee, Mia, Max, Jaxson; his parents, Johnny Eugene and Geraldine Carter Rollins; sister, Joy Sauers; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Eugene Rollins Jr.
Jeff was a beloved husband, father, and Papa who served Christ faithfully through his leadership and friendship. He was devoted both to his family and his church family. With his humility and servant hood, Jeff showed us all how a Christian should live. He made a profound impact on his community and world that will be felt for generations to come. He will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
